Why Petrol is so costly? KARTIKEYA SEMWAL DEHRADUN, MAY 26, 2012: Petrol is such an important article of human use, that without it life could come to a standstill. Industries could cease to exist and economies could collapse. Prices of petrol are affordable for public in other countries but in India, it’s a completely different story. Poor people can’t even think of using it. And now with prices touching Rs.74/litre, even the middle class wouldn’t be able to afford it for long. Yet MPs and MLAs and politicians of ruling party at the centre government have the facility of using as much petrol as possible for free. Infact they get a petrol allowance for it. The question is, why should only general public bear the brunt of petrol price hike? Why not the MPs and MLAs be made to pay the price of petrol that they and their families use for free? Can India follow US & carry out commando strike in POK?? Kartikeya Semwal 5 May 2011: US that had been raging war against terrorism for the past few decades finally avenged the 26/11 terror stirks on World Trade Centre and Pentagon by eleminating the world's most wanted terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Special US troopes (US Marine Commandoes) carried out a secret strike on 2 May 2011 in Abatabad, Pakistan and eliminated Bin Laden in his own house that was jsut 22 kms from Pakistan's Army training centre. US Marine commandoes carried out a deadly strike with the help of stealth army choppers and killed the world's most wanted terrorist. Libya, a country ravaged by war and caught between Gaddaffi's army and volunteer fighters needs international aid. Troops loyal to Gaddafi won't leave him and would fight to the end and are better equipped then voluntary fighters. And caught between them is the general public which is helpless and does not know what to do. Though France and US have succeded in carrying out aerial blocakade in Libyan air space, but that alone is not enough if Gaddafi's troops are to be defeated and democracy be brought back to the war torn country. What Libyan volunteers need is support in form of heavy arms, ammunitions and tanks and artillery units. What US led NATO can do is provide arms and ammunition to rebel fighters that are fighting Gaddafi's troops. NATO can also help by taking under its control, areas controlled by rebel fighters and provide armed backup to them so that rebel fighters can consolidate heir positions around Misrata and Ras Lanuf and other important towns. In its biggest show of millitary power, the Obama administration has decided to deploy its special troops in 75 countries across the world. They say that the deployment is to fight against and destroy the Al Qaeda network and its operatives across all 75 countries that include Yemen, Egypt, Libiya, Sudan, Algeria, Malaysia, Phillipines, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.
